Samsung introduced latest design cell phone Samsung Z720. The great new feature that has been introduced in the Z720 is its ultra-fast 3G implementation, known as 3.5G. This uses a new technology called High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), which enables downloads at speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps – that’s 6 times faster than normal 3G using EDGE technology. The benefit of this is improved quality of downloads, streaming media and video calling. The multimedia capabilities of the Samsung Z720 are seriously impressive. Let’s start with the camera.
This is a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus and a powerful 13x digital zoom. It’s one of the best phone cameras around – except that it’s lacking a flash. Video recording at a resolution of 176 x 144 pixels in MPEG4 format is supported. A second VGA camera (640 x 480 pixels) is used for making video calls. The display on the Samsung Z720 is outstanding and does full justice to the camera. The music player has been enhanced to support WMA format in addition to MP3, ACC, ACC+ and e-AAC+ formats, so you can play virtually anything.
The player is easy to use with play lists of up to 30 tracks. You can use the stereo headset supplied by Samsung or a wireless Bluetooth headset. Samsung Z720 may not be an iPod, but it’s a pretty useable implementation of an MP3 player. We do have one minor niggle though – the built in memory. Samsung have been a bit stingy with onboard memory and given the Samsung Z720 just 20 Mbytes of user memory. You can expand this with a MicroSD memory card, but it would have been nicer to have had more built in. There’s no radio either, but you can stream music via the 3G services.
In addition the phone has some useful “bonus” features – a document viewer for viewing MS Office files, offline mode for use when listening to music on a plane, email and Java games. The Samsung brand recently unveiled a host of new phones at the Mobile World Congress that took place in Barcelona. A presentation from Samsung outlined the developmental process that the phones undergo. The phones are generally classified under one of the five categories: Style, Multimedia, Business, Infotainment and Co-Branding.
One of the new cell phone devices unveiled was the Samsung F400. This phone is classified under the Multimedia category. The F400 is specifically designed to provide quality sounds with the addition of two speakers located within the slider design.
Samsung partnered with the Danish company Bang & Olufsen to create the Samsung F400. Bang & Olufsen is known for its creation of quality audio devices. Most cell phones have difficulty producing quality sound due to the compact nature of cell phones and what Bang & Olufsen has done is to incorporate two small speakers in the design of the F400.
The two speakers are in close proximity, so it cannot fully reproduce stereo quality sound, but it is more than good enough to produce sounds within noisy environments. This makes the F400 ideal for use while traveling to work or going back home while taking public transportation.
The two speakers are released when the slider is pushed up. When it does happen, it automatically activates the music player of the cell phone. Aside from the speakers, Bang & Olufsen has included their very own ICEamp technology to improve sound force and quality.
There are also additional features to make the music listening process much enjoyable. There is a music library to organize the audio files. There is also Music Recognition software and a built in FM Radio with RDS support to complement the music player. It supports different audio file types such as MP3 or WMA. There is support for different formats of video as well.

Der Terminplaner ist schlecht, bzw. die Erinnerung an einen Termin funktioniert nur durch einen Piepton, der nicht hörbar ist. Die Erinnerungsfunktion müßte genau so sein, als wenn jemand anruft. Also, virbrieren und dann eine ausgewählt Musik.
Sonst ist das Handy gut. Der Radioempfang ist auch hervorragend.
